SANZAR officials will investigate comments that were made in public by Springboks coach Peter de Villiers.
De Villiers claimed that the All Blacks' recent victories over South Africa were part of a conspiracy to build up excitement in New Zealand ahead of the rugby world cup.
Speaking on TV in Australia De Villiers said, "'I've got my own observations about the last two Tests, and I can't say it in public.
"But we do have a World Cup in New Zealand next year, and maybe it was the right thing for them to win the games so they can attract more people to the games next year."
SANZAR will have to take action on the Bok if he is found to have brought the game into disrepute.
Last night, SANZAR representatives said the organisation was ''aware of the comments, but there is no official position on them at this stage''.
Matt Giteau was fined earlier this year after he made comments in public about referee Steve Walsh and former Wallaby and Reds coach Eddie Jones was also sanctioned when he made comments knocking SANZAR match officials.
SA Rugby however hit back with a statement denying that De Villiers had suggested that the referees had favoured the All Blacks.
"In no manner did I ever suggest that the All Blacks were being favoured – by match officials or anyone else – because their country was hosting the Rugby World Cup next year," De Villiers said in an SA Rugby statement.
"I have stated many times during the past weeks that the All Blacks were better than us in their victories in Auckland and Wellington. Whilst I have also expressed unhappiness over some refereeing issues, this is a separate matter altogether and has no bearing on what I said.
"My comment during the Rugby Club interview was based on the general view that part of the success of any World Cup event rests on the fact that the host Nation has a winning team.
"This view has been misinterpreted and I wish to make it clear that I had no other intention than to make that specific point.
"Nevertheless, I regret that this may have created the wrong impression and raised undue concern for SANZAR and the RWC 2011 organisers.
"I also want to assure all Springbok supporters that we will continue to strive for success. We are proud South Africans and we will always do our best for our country."
Meanwhile former Wallabies hooker Brendan Cannon has got himself into trouble after he called De Villiers a "clown" and a puppet over his Tri Nations match-fixing claims.
Cannon upset South African officials by belittling de Villiers and suggesting he was a puppet coach aftr De Villiers had made his match fixing claims.
"I can't believe that senior players like John Smit and Victor Matfield allow themselves to be controlled by this guy,'' Cannon said on the Fox Sports program The Rugby Club .
"He is a clown. He surely does not coach the team.''
According to FoxSports Springboks spokesperson Anthony Mackaiser on Thursday delivered Fox Sports, a Tri Nations broadcast rights holder, an ultimatum that they immediately apologise or no longer have on-air access to South Africa players or management.
Cannon has apparently agreed to apologise on TV before the Wallabies face the Springboks on Saturday.
